Beta V1.29.15 live — Undead Mode & Sphere Dummy are out now
Dummy Defense Guide

Dummy Defense updates

Quick answer

Dummy Defense updates almost weekly. The current build is V1.29.15 — Undead Mode, the Sphere Dummy tower and stat reworks. Before that, V1.28.14 returned the Noob Experiment towers for a week before their September 7 removal.

Dummy Defense is in open beta and patches land on a near-weekly rhythm — tower rebalances, new modes, and shop stock that rotates in and out. Here is the release timeline, reconstructed from the community wiki's change histories and checked September 30, 2026.

Current version — V1.29.15

The live build adds a faction mode and a new Exclusive Army tower:

  • Undead Mode — the Undead Faction's debut mode, with the Plague Doctor as its final boss. Beating it awards the Defeat Plague Doctor badge: a new lore tape, a tag, and Sphere Dummy in the shop.
  • Sphere Dummy — new Exclusive Army tower (level 59, 13,999 Bricks, $2,299 to place). It converts enemies to your side — 15% at level 1 up to 65% at level 5 — heals in a radius, and summons Wedge Dummy squads.
  • Super Mega Hyperlaser Dummy — added to the game this version.
  • Stat cleanup — Artillery Dummy took a straight buff (level 5 damage 1,000 → 1,350, range 250 → 275), and the wiki re-tagged a long list of towers and units to V1.29.15, meaning reworked numbers across the board.

Recent changes worth knowing

The Noob Experiment towers and the Tower Shop have a long on-again, off-again relationship, and September closed one chapter:

  • September 7, 2026: the NE towers — Boss Noob 2.0, Titan Guest, Titan Brickbattler, Brickbattler Mech and Titan Noob — were removed from the Tower Shop.
  • That ended a short window: V1.28.14 had brought them back, in the wiki's words, "back in the Shop for 1 week" — and cut Titan Noob's price at the same time.
  • The pattern is old: those towers have been added, pulled and re-added since at least V1.15.13 (added, removed in V1.17.14, back in V1.23.14, pulled again in a patch the wiki never numbered).
  • While they were purchasable, buying Titan Brickbattler also required the Noob Experiment badge.
  • Bottom line: treat NE tower stock as rotation, not a permanent catalog. If they are missing from your shop, that is the cycle — not a bug.

How to track updates

  • The game itself. Patches deploy on the near-weekly rhythm, and milestone announcements (like the 30,000-like code) appear in the game page's description field.
  • The community wiki. Tower and enemy pages timestamp every balance change with its version number — that is where this timeline is reconstructed from.
  • Video changelogs. Bigger patches get full walkthrough videos from community creators; a complete V1.29.15 changelog video went up within days.
  • This page. Rebuilt whenever a notable patch ships; last sweep September 30, 2026.
  • Gamemodes — every mode, including Undead Mode's unlock route
  • Badges — the Plague Doctor badge that gates Sphere Dummy
  • Codes — codes rotate with updates, so check both
