Beta V1.29.15 live — Undead Mode & Sphere Dummy are out now
Dummy Defense Guide

Bricks & Cash farming in Dummy Defense

Quick answer

Cash comes from damage dealt — the formula is c/h in solo and splits in co-op, so keep everything shooting. Bricks come from mode clears: Noob Experiment pays 4,750 a run, the best repeatable rate in the game.

Dummy Defense runs on two currencies and one combat resource: Cash lives and dies inside a match, Bricks persist forever, and Gold is only spent to cast in-match abilities. Knowing where each one comes from is the difference between a board that snowballs and one that starves.

Cash — earned by dealing damage

Cash comes from three places: damaging enemy health, wave rewards, and external generators like the Business Dummy. There are no kill bonuses — every point of health you strip pays out, which means a tower that never fires earns nothing. Two exceptions bite hard: enemies with the No Cash attribute pay nothing at all, and shield/armor health behaves the same way — no payout until the real health bar takes damage.

In co-op the income splits by player count. The community wiki records it with this formula, where c is Cash, h is enemy health and p is players:

PlayersRecorded formula
1c / h
2c / (1.5h)
3c / (2.5h)
4c / (3.5h)

The same damage feeds more wallets as the lobby grows, so each player banks less — solo is the fastest route to an expensive board.

The Business Dummy is the dedicated money printer: available from level 0, $225 to place, with income that climbs from $50 to $3,600 across five levels (the wiki reckons each level pays for itself in roughly four waves). The placement cap scales with the lobby: 12 solo, 10 with two players, 8 with three, 6 with four.

Bricks — the long-term currency

Bricks are the only currency that survives a match, and they buy everything permanent — tower unlocks and the Ability shop included. You earn them by clearing modes (a win pays Bricks plus exp) and by redeeming codes. Nothing else converts into Bricks, so treat every clear as a deposit.

Those are the only routes with figures published on the wiki; other modes do pay Bricks on a clear, but with no documented number we won't print a guess. Noob Experiment is also one of the hardest modes in the game — and its matchmaking doesn't work, so follow the entry steps on the gamemodes page instead of queueing.

What to spend Bricks on

  1. Tower unlocks. Start cheap — the Dummy Base costs 2,500 Bricks — then save toward the Titan Army: from 18,500 for Titan Noob up to 92,500 for Titan ScaleDummy. Two of them are badge-gated: MKI Titan Dummy needs The Crystals tape, and the Sphere Dummy needs the Plague Doctor badge. Full prices live on the towers page.
  2. The Ability shop, unlocked by beating Noob Battalion: Airstrike (10,000 Bricks), Napalm Airstrike (12,500, adds burning) and the Wall (6,000 — drops a 1,000 HP barrier).
  3. Autoskip is not a Bricks purchase — it unlocks free with the Guest Mode badge, and the toggle sits in the bottom-left of your screen.

Gold and Abilities

Abilities are bought once with Bricks, then cast with Gold, an in-match resource — Gold is only spent when you actually use one. Airstrike is the benchmark: 50 Gold per call with a 50-second cooldown. If the Ability shop is missing from your HUD entirely, you haven't beaten Noob Battalion yet — the badges page maps every unlock.
